If you grow tomatoes on your farm or in your garden, please bring some so the group can sample as many of the different varieties of tomato being grown in Western New York as possible!
This event is free and open to farmers, people who work on farms, and ag service providers. Root Down Farm is located at 5850 Shimerville Rd, Clarence Center, NY 14032. Healthy Farmers, Healthy Farms
The event, "Healthy Farmers, Healthy Farms," will instruct farmers and those who work on farms on moving their bodies ergonomically and with intention. Farming can be physically taxing work, often leading to acute or chronic stress and injury on the body. By learning hands-on from Dr. Hannah Yorks of Peak Performance Chiropractic and therapeutic yoga instructor Laura Lane of Art of Repair, we can spring into a healthy growing season. NRCS Urban Conservationist Nicole Kubiczki will also be presenting on new NRCS urban farming programs that may benefit your farm. Alongside healthy farmers, ecological and financial sustainability are key aspects of a healthy farm!
